Get Paid to Kill?

No, I am not talking about starting your own contract agency, I am talking about an innovative new first person shooter called Kwari.

What exactly is Kwari? While the name leaves much to be desired, one thing is for certain, Kwari is a game to keep your eye on. One thing wrong with the modern MMO gaming world are the lack of free FPSs. Companies such as Webzen are trying their best to fill this gap. The highly anticipated MMOFPS Huxley is slated for a beta test in Korea on September 13th, 2007.

The most unique aspect to Kwari is the reward/punishment system. It is best summarized by this quote from their website:

Every time you hit another player in Kwari you make money. Every time you are hit by another player it costs you. Every shot counts. How much is down to the stake level you play in. But this is not the only way to win.

What does this mean for you? You will be able to earn money just by playing. The main difference between this game and services such as www.tournament.com is that Tournament.com only manages the money, while Kwari provides the servers, the game, and everything in between.

Unless they fine tune the game's mechanics well enough so that both the player and the company can profit, I don't see it lasting long.
